Dequan Xiao is the director of Center for Integrative Materials Discovery and University Research Scholar at the University of New Haven (UNH). He joined the faculty of UNH in August 2013. He teaches the courses of Physical Chemistry and Laboratory, and Polymer Science. He is the coordinator for Physical Chemistry Laboratory in Spring 2014.

Dr. Xiao serves as a reviewer for the following journals: Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, Journal of Physical Chemistry, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Journal of Molecular Modeling, RSC Advances, Molecules, and Journal of Mathematical Bioscience.
